
The XXXI WBSC Under-18 World Cup Qualifying Tournament will include a Super Round
World Cup : From November 10-12, representatives from Mexico, the United States, Venezuela, Panama, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico will battle it out for four coveted places. Cuba and Canada are no longer allowed to participate.
For four berths in the XXXI WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup, the world’s No. 4 Mexico, No. 5 USA, No. 6 Venezuela, No. 13 Panama, No. 15 Nicaragua, and No. 16 Puerto Rico will play in the Super Round of the Americas Qualifier.
Powerhouses like Cuba (ranked #9) and Canada (ranked #12) were both knocked out in the first round.
Starting on November 10th and continuing through the 12th, the Super Round will be held at Estadio Arturo C. Nahl in La Paz.
Both Panama and Mexico went 2-2 in Group A. By a score of 9-0, Nicaragua advanced to the semifinals against Cuba to claim third place.

The USA dominated Group B with a 47-10 point differential.
Canada was depending on the tournament’s top hitter, but they dropped two games by a combined one run against Puerto Rico (10-9) and Venezuela (3-2) and were eliminated from the Super Round. Sam Shaw, a second baseman for the qualifier, had the highest batting average (.571) and runs batted in (.). (11). With three home runs, PJ Morland of the United States of America is in first place.
